Keep your snow gear in tip-top shape with our wax and tune-up services! We are old skool and still tune every ski and board by hand, so your skis and boards get the same level of quality work and attention to detail as our bicycle tune-up services.

Hot Wax | $30

We scrape and clean off the old wax and apply new hot wax! We feature BAF all-temperature wax, made locally in Cedaredge, CO; our standard finish is brushed. We will apply any other wax available and finish the base to your liking at your request, just let us know!

FYI: bigger, always faster

Edge Tune | $30

This is for skis that are in good shape and don't need base restructuring or repair. Keeping your edges clean and smooth will enrich your snow sports experience and make your gear last longer! We sharpen edges with a laser cut file and finish with diamond stones at 2° unless specified otherwise. Typically we de-tune tips for more powdery conditions. This works for most skiers who ski on the Grand Mesa, which is often lots of powder skiing. Be sure to let us know if you want it any different!

Base Restructure - Minor | $40

The first thing we will check when skis or snowboards arrive for service is the base. A quick visual check will reveal whether or not it needs to be restructured. This involves taking down any raised ridges or nicks in the base, as well as filling any light, but significant scratches with P-tex (hot glue for skis). Then the ski is ground flat again prepping the surface for wax. The base edge is then filed with a laser cut file at 1° bevel. $10 extra for the diamond stone edge file and of course please let us know if you want a different angle. Edge Tune and Hot wax are added automatically to your work order, unless you specify otherwise.

Base Restructure - Major | $70

This service is for skis and boards with major base damage such as deep scratches, core shots, bent edges, and delamination. Frankly, we may tell you your gear is not worth fixing at this point. We will give you our honest opinion, depending on the extent of the work to be done. This includes any work necessary to repair the damage to the base and edges; the base is restructured the same as the minor service. Edge Tune and Hot wax are added automatically to your work order unless you specify otherwise. Our shop techs reserve the right to refuse work on any gear they feel is too far gone to be safely used again.
